The Retinol 0.1 Cream - Caution Warnings

• It is recommended to perform a patch test before use.

• During pregnancy or breastfeeding, it is recommended to avoid all retinoid products.

• After using retinol, your skin may feel irritated and show signs of redness due to deep skin renewal. Irritation is a temporary and normal symptom. If irritation persists, reduce the frequency or discontinue use.

• Due to the nature of the retinol ingredient, the color may darken or a unique odor may develop.

• To maintain the freshness of retinol ingredients, avoid storing at high temperatures and direct sunlight. • It is recommended to store in the refrigerator when not in use daily.

• As this product may increase sensitivity to sunlight, use sunscreen while using the product.

• Do not combine with a scrub, peeling or exfoliating product, as this may irritate the skin.

Start small and slow! After using essence or serum, dab a small amount with your ring finger. Apply evenly to your face, neck, and areas with wrinkle concerns. Limit initial use to three times a week; gradually increase frequency to every other night, using as tolerated. Allow for an adjustment period when using retinol.

Week 1-2

Frequency: Use every other day at night. After cleansing, apply a small amount of The Retinol 0.1 Cream to problem areas, such as under the eyes, mouth, forehead, and neck, after applying moisturizer (Recommended amount: 0.1 ml per section / 1 grain of rice).

Week 3

Frequency: Can be applied every evening. After cleansing, apply it all over the face after applying moisturizer.

The "tolerance-building" phase can be shortened or extended depending on individual differences. Continue this phase until no more discomfort is experienced. Gradually increase the frequency and areas of application.

Pure retinol (Vitamin A): Reduces wrinkles and fine lines

Panthenol: Protects and hydrates the skin against external stimuli

What is the effect of Retinol on the skin?

Retinol affects the skin by stimulating collagen production and improving skin elasticity. Wrinkles and loss of skin elasticity are caused by a decrease in collagen production and elasticity in the dermis, which is part of the skin's structure. Collagen naturally decreases due to environmental factors such as aging and UV rays. Retinol will produce visible results in wrinkles by stimulating collagen genes and synthesis in the dermis.

Should you wash off retinol in the morning?

Retinol is sensitive to light and heat; we recommend using it at night. If applying during the day, be sure to use it with an SPF.

Who is retinol not suitable for?

It is suitable for those concerned about aging (wrinkles, reduced elasticity), but is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Do not use it after non-surgical cosmetic procedures or while using beauty equipment.

What substances should you not mix with retinol?

Retinol with vitamin C, benzoyl peroxide, and AHA/BHA acids. AHA and BHA acids have an exfoliating effect, which can dry out the skin and cause additional irritation if you already use retinol in your skincare routine.

It stings and turns red. Is that how it's supposed to be?

A high concentration of retinol can cause skin irritation such as redness and itching, but these are not harmful effects. The burning sensation is accompanied by dilated blood vessels. This has nothing to do with skin problems. It is recommended to use a small amount every other week during an adjustment period and gradually increase the dosage.
